Eugenio Quarti Armchair Trone in Italian Liberty , early 19th Century
-
Description
The armchair has several decorative elements with geometric inlays in velvet, copper and with seat and back covered with a beautiful original velvet of the time framed by geometric buttons in copper.
Solidity and good workmanship are the peculiarities of the Quarti production, a characteristic taken from the previous work experience at the Bugatti factory. His typically Liberty style of incredible refinement is oriented to the production of furniture for the upper middle class of the time. The throne armchair is made of inlaid walnut wood and the abanist Quarti diffuses the decoration as substance in all its realizations.
Finally, the decorations in the armrests are extremely elegant and elaborate, with geometric woodwork. As a distinctive element we find in the center and in its 4 sides of the seat, an ornamental circle in the form of a drum in copper handmade. -
