Pair of 1950s Danish modern lounge chairs (model FD 136) designed by Finn Juhl. Early examples produced by France & Daverkosen, the predecessor to France & Son.
Boasts broad, floating back rests, wide seats, and elegantly sculpted teak arm rests. All patinated brass hardware (pegs which connect the seat and back to the teak frame) is original. Efficient design maximizing comfort while maintaining a relatively small footprint.
Navy wool upholstery is original and has been cleaned. Very nice, vintage condition with only minor wear to the original fabric.
Back stretchers retain the France & Daverkosen "FD Made in Denmark" stamp and the "John Stuart Inc. New York / Grand Rapids" medallions (signifying the original retailer).
