Available now, this Mid-Century Modern sofa has a hardwood structure with reupholstered Ochre velvet. The sofa has a tall backrest and comfortable arms making this sofa not only beautiful but comfortable and inviting.

The wood has been reinforced and refinished. The upholstery has been done r by one of the best upholsterers in Brazil, an artisan who worked for Sergio Rodrigues for 20 years. The piece contains the manufacturing mark under the seat.

This sofa could easily be flexed into any Mid-Century Modern, modern, or contemporary environment and can be played up to be more maximalist or Minimalist with its surroundings.

Carlo Hauner (1927-1997) and Martin Eisler (1913-1977) were the primary designers for the iconic Brazilian furniture company Forma. They are most known for well-shaped armchairs made in iron, but the production is far more complex, handcrafted, and extensive. The wood pieces produced by Forma Móveis e Objetos de Arte during 1950 & 1960s in Brazil are highly designed and well-executed.

Their narrative spans four countries (Italy, Austria, Brazil, and Argentina) and several decades and their exceptional works are already highly sought-after examples of the vibrant modern design movement in Latin America.
