Description
Designed in 1949 by Italian Franco Albini (1905-1977), the "Louis" chair is celebrated for its elegant simplicity and meticulous craftsmanship - an homage to his wife, Luisa Albini. The chair is an icon of mid-century Italian design and was awarded the Compasso d'Oro in 1955 (Poggia, Italy version). This model 48 version produced in the US by Knoll Associates with a wider solid maple frame and recently upholstered in a beautiful red leatherette.
