Description
Classic French Art Deco pair of armchairs designed by Gabriel Englinger and Suzanne Guiguichon. This model was presented by La Maitrise, the design studio of the famous Paris department store, Galeries Lafayette at the 1925 Paris International Exposition. The artistic director of La Maitrise was one of the 20th Century's most renowned designers, Maurice Dufrene. This pair of chairs is executed in sculpted purpleheart. They are correctly restored and reupholstered.
