Gastone Rinaldi Cinema Chairs Mod. LV 4 for the Piccolo Milano
-
Description
Rare pair of cinema chairs by Gastone Rinaldi for the IL Piccolo Milano theater in 1952. The model in question is LV 4.
The pair of cinema or theater chairs are one of the earliest examples for the IL PICCOLO Theater in Milan. Made of wood for the seat and backrest , while the leg frame is made of sheet metal. Rinaldi through the inclination of the seat recreates the perfect balance to remain comfortable even at the cinema. In the feet of the chair in the sheet metal part, we notice holes that were used to anchor with bolts the seat to the floor.
Later Zanuso takes the same armchair and creates a new one with an evolution, creating the LV 5 model in aluminum and Plastorima and sheet metal plinth.
The chairs are ideal for contemporary living rooms in vintage style or for offices and studios of designers and architects.
The chairs are in excellent condition present only slight scratches but still very beautiful. -
