A dramatic Mid-Century lounge chair designed in 1968 by Gerald Jerome manufactured by Heritage.
An unusual X-framed scoop chair having a sculpted black ebony frame with caning and brass stretcher bars and sabots.
The original channeled black leather cushion has been professionally restored and retains its heritage upholstery label.
The chair frame has been professionally restored and is in excellent condition. The seat cushion is in excellent vintage condition with wear consistent with its age.
An example of this chair is reproduced on page 44 of the Pasadena Art Museum "California Design Ten" 1968 catalogue. -
