Description
This elegant pair of lounge chairs is attributed to the Italian designer Gio Ponti and was produced by ISA Bergamo in Italy during the 1950s. Several of Ponti’s designs had been manufactured by the ISA company in the late 1940s and ‘50s.
The chairs of this pair are gracefully resting on four brass-coloured metal curved feet. The strong lines and proportions of the chairs are perfectly balanced with the short-sized feet. The armrests point slightly upwards, creating a modern and welcoming look. The high back and tilted position of the backrests make the chairs not only very comfortable but also aesthetically distinctive.
Both chairs have been recently reupholstered in a grey-ivory coloured premium bouclé fabric. The upholstery also features stylish button tufting on the backrests.
