Still living and working in his hometown of Monteclana di Nave Italy, sculptor and prolific wood carver Giuseppe Rivadossi (b. 1932) created his local atelier workshop in 1972 called 'Officina Rivadossi'. Known for his unique artistic expression which he called poetry in wood. This one-of-a-kind rocking chair in solid walnut has is classic use of texture and curves. Hand-carved ribbed feature to all surfaces with beautiful visible joinery. The back has a delicate center inlay of colored balsa wood in three artistic panels. Produced at his workshop in Italy, 1970s/80s.
