Description
Set of 5 dining chairs in Slavonian oak by Officina Rivadossi. In 1978 Giuseppe Rivadossi founded Officina Rivadossi where he started to make furniture and objects from wood. The Italian maestro still works in the studio that nowadays bears the name Habito and is located in the town of Nave. Wood has always been the basic material and the style and processing techniques that Rivadossi has developed and still uses are among the best in the world. His typical signature is beautifully reflected in this set of five chairs made of Slavonian oak. It is a type of wood that is extremely durable because it is resistant to impact and varying humidity. In addition, it is easy to edit. Rivadossi processes the surface of the wood by gouging, creating a pleasant relief. The frame consists of an interlocking structure of mortise and tenon joints with two slats on each side. The seat is subtly curved and is at a gentle angle, which improves ergonomics. The same applies to the slightly curved backrest which is also angled and decorated with a carving of the geometric shape of five small inverted pyramids. The condition of the chairs is excellent and the set also has a beautiful patina.
