It was love at first sight. The moment I laid eyes on that elegant, curved backrest and gently tapered legs…. A timeless design that seemed to transcend trends and fads. I had to have it. This wasn't just a chair, it was a work of art. Just look at the joinery in the backrest… A testament to the genius of its creator, the Danish designer Hans J. Wegner. Every detail, from the smooth, organic shape to the flawless craftsmanship, spoke of a deep reverence for natural materials and the human form. The CH30 wasn't just pleasing to the eye, it cradled my body with comfort and support. Every time I look at this beauty, I'm reminded of the power of great design to elevate the everyday, to turn the mundane into the magnificent. This chair has to be one for life, a design classic that will be cherished for generations to come. A wise investment in quality over quantity, in timelessness over transience.
Set of four dining chairs designed by Hans J. Wegner, manufactured in de 1950’s by Carl Hansen & Son, Odense Denmark. The teak-wood frames are restored and the seats are re-upholstered with a fabric of virgin wool from the Danish textile company Kvadrant (Hallingdal 65/200).
