Early ML-33 Oak Rocking Chair with Carvings by Hans Wegner for Mikael Laursen
-
Description
Hans Wegner designed this oak rocking chair, model ML-33, for Mikael Laursen in the 1940s. The rare rocker, the first that Wegner designed, showcases his elegant approach to modern design, with Danish tradition suggested by the carvings of leaves and vines on the arms and back.
One arm appears to have been repaired (see image 10), but the chair is completely solid. -
