Set of 6 Dining Chairs by Anders Jensen in Rosewood and Leather, Denmark, 1960's
-
Description
This beautifully detailed set of chairs by Anders Jensen for Holstebro Møbelfabrik features a luminous dark Brazilian rosewood frame and patinated cognac-coloured leather used for the seating and the back rest. Very outspoken flames in the rosewood with lots of vivid colour differences and variety. The shape of the frame is angular with its sharp and round curved sides in the seating part. The two horns that stand out at the top are one of the many details that can be found back in this chair such as the leather that goes around the tapered legs.
The set is in very good condition with the leather still very much intact. No holes or tears, everything still in one piece and very nicely patinated. A lot of character and history in this sturdy set of solid Brazilian rosewood.
Comfortable and inviting set of chairs with it's soft-pad seating and backrests. Good for long conversations at the dining table and easy to keep clean!
From Denmark, with love. -
