Description
“The Dolomites”
This collection plays on the contrast between the softness of the curves and the roughness of the reliefs that remind us of the natural lines that are sometimes found at the seaside, offering magnificent pebbles polished by the rolling of the water at the foot of steep cliffs, as if sculpted. Solid oak volume (made up of glued elements), carved. Tinted in chinese ink mass for a deep black. Like the rocks dulled by time.
A touch of unstructured softness consists of a set of neoprene foam strings knotted and sewn individually on a carpet of the same material embedded in the mass, in a shape specified by a golden line to the sheet.
Slipper chair in carved solid oak, gold leaf and neoprene (2018). Solid oak tinted with Chinese ink and carved with gouge.
