The dramatic curve of the bentwood armrests instantly distinguishes armchairs designed by J. Halabala, one of the most prominent industrial designers from Czechia. Manufactured circa 1950, these lounge armchairs flaunt a modernist anatomy constituted by contrast; curved wooden elements juxtapose the boxy cushions. Reupholstered in a subdued rosy mauve upholstery, the softness adds an air of coziness to their bold avant-garde nature.
