Description
BOCHT by JELMER REUS is created at the crossroads of art and furniture. This piece of beauty is made from 100% recycled waste linoleum. The linoleum is pressed into a new, self-developed sheet material that goes by the name ‘Multilyno’. With Multylino, as his own developed material, Jelmer creates limited available products from combined waste streams and a permanent collection.
Every chair features a unique color combination carefully selected from Forbo’s waste stockpile, highlighting sustainable design. The natural flex in the backrest comes from linoleum's inherent flexibility, while the finish reflects its original purpose as a natural surface material, enhancing any furniture's aesthetics.
Speaking about beauty! This creation transcends the traditional definition of a chair and can be considered more of a sculptural artwork that happens to serve as seating furniture. The flowing lines, inspired by nature, and the innovative design is more of a statement of beauty and creativity than an everyday piece of furniture, blurring the line between functional object and artistic expression.
