Jens Risom Model 108 Accent Chair in Cinnamon Brown Alpaca With Walnut Frame
-
Description
With great reason, the name Jens Risom is synonymous with the Mid-Century Modern design movement. Hailing from Denmark, Risom’s talent quickly resonated with the great Hans Knoll after emigrating to the United States and together they launched the Hans Knoll Furniture Company in 1942. It is after this momentous start of Risom’s career that he would start his own line of furniture; Jens Risom Design Inc.
This rarely seen “Model 108” Accent Chair is an absolute delight. It is proportionally perfect as are most Risom designs, allowing it to settle in with ease in any home setting. Our team selected a luxuriously soft Alpaca fabric in the color Cinnamon. The gorgeous walnut frame has been brought back to its original brilliance, it exhibits a subtle carve-out on each arm, a detail which attests to Risom’s masterful eye for design.
This Jens Risom chair is a celebration of both organic curvature as well as angular modernist design. The result of our work is a timeless chair made relevant again, an excellent addition to an intimate nook or perhaps a reading chair in a bedroom. -

Stories exist in many forms, we see them in objects. The aesthetic of those before us is passed down through their surviving creations. These are the objects we search for; to preserve, refine, & continue the story. Object Refinery combines design obsession, fine craftsmanship, and a love for history in our worldwide search for objects. Based in Connecticut, USA; we partner with a network of local artisans to restore and refine our findings before passing them on to the next collector.
