New Top-Grain Leather ‘Round’ chair designed by Danish craftsman, Hans J. Wegner, for cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen in Denmark circa 1940’s. Internationally known as “The Chair,” Wegner’s design features a curved solid walnut top rail with serrated joinery that bends forward to become the armrests. The New Top-Grain Leather seat has been recently re-done true to the original specifications. This iconic chair was made for optimum comfort and exhibits both practicality and elegance.
