    Set of six chairs, designed by Johannes Krahn before 1949. Selected by Hans Schwippert as the "Bundesstuhl " for furnishing the first German post-war parliament. Please note, that these chairs have slightly different measurements than the other set we have in stock. Johannes Krahn (1908-1974) was a prominent German architect known for his significant contributions to post-war architecture and urban planning. Born in Mainz, he pursued his architectural studies at the Technical Schools in Offenbach/Main, the School of Arts and Crafts in Aachen, and the Cologne Werkschulen, where he became a master student of Dominikus Böhm. Krahn's portfolio extended to international projects, including the French Embassy in Bad Godesberg and the German Embassy in New Delhi. His work encompassed numerous public buildings, commercial properties, and urban planning projects, reflecting his versatile architectural approach. His legacy is marked by his innovative designs and his contributions to the architectural landscape of post-war Germany.
