Pair of T Side Chairs by Katavolos, Littell, & Kelley for Laverne International
-
Description
William Katavolos in partnership with Douglas Kelley and Ross Littell designed the iconic sling-back T chair in 1952 as model 3LC in Laverne International's sculptural New Furniture series. Hidden screws attach the leather seat to a frame of chromed tubular steel and black-lacquered flat steel to create a striking three-legged chair. The T Chair can be found in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York and other top museums worldwide.
This pair of side chairs is rendered in a burgundy-brown leather with a beautiful patina. -
