Dino Gavina began his activity as early as the 1940s with objects for theater sets, his great passion. Convinced of the need for design that was modern but also rich in poetry, he gradually succeeded in involving many prominent personalities of the time. His work constitutes the starting point of the so-called Italian Style. He was one of the most influential figures in the world of industrial design, and he is credited with the authorship of design as we understand it today for the strong innovations and influences he brought to the field.
Here we have a pair of armchairs produced by Simon Gavina designed in '70s by the japanese designer Kazuhide Takahama. The structure is in wood and polyurethane, covered by a velvet sheet.
