Description
Offering the classic Pollock Executive Chair in this beautiful aubergine leather, black steel frame, in good condition. The leather upholstery has been recently redone and in excellent condition.
Charles Pollock was a master of design who's work was supported by Florence Knoll and her company, Knoll. Pollock's understanding of design was that every object has an edge and every object has a line, propelling him in a direction which he called "Rim Technology". The primary design element in his Pollock Executive Chair is an extruded steel edge, Pollock's "Rim", which runs along the entire edge of the seat. This single piece of engineering is the core of his design as it serves many purposes. The rim in matte black finish effortlessly inherits the upholstery and serves as a bumper which protects the more delicate aspects of the design, and most importantly it acts as the single joinery mechanism giving the chair rigidity between its shell back and upholstered front. -
