Elegant Mid-century Danish dining chairs designed by Kurt Ostervig for K.P Moblefabrik Denmark. The chair frames are handcrafted from solid Brazilian with sculpted butterfly backrests, and newly upholstered seats in a fine black leather. The finest rosewood was used for this collection, showcasing a dark and incredibly dense grain with a highly figured texture. professionally restored by our team of in-house craftspeople, the chairs are in excellent condition, making them a stunning addition to any dining room.
Kurt Østervig (1912-1986) was a Danish furniture designer known for his modernist designs in the mid-20th century. He trained as a cabinetmaker and later studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, where he was influenced by the functionalist design movement. his designs were characterized by a combination of form, function, and high-quality craftsmanship.
