Description
Beautiful chaise longue, model LC4 serial number 2344, designed by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret and Charlotte Perriand for Cassina in 1965.
The chaise longue was born from the inspiration of the three design artists who wanted to design a comfortable home furniture, where each person could rest, even without sleeping, relaxing head, shoulders, back and legs.
Initially designed in 1928, the Le Corbusier chaise longue was then mass-produced in the mid-1960s, it would become a true design icon over the years.
The structure of the amazing chaise longue is made of chrome-plated tubular steel, black lacquered metal frame, the headrest is made of leather while the upholstery is in a soft white fur.
The LC4 chaise longue by Le Corbusier has a variable tilt and can be placed in various poses, this allows for greater comfort and a perfect anatomical shape of the body while resting.
Le Corbusier's LC4 chaise longue is probably the most famous armchair in the history of design, it has a solid core and is resistant to body weight despite prolonged use, it guarantees softness and relaxation, thanks to the soft padding and delicate upholstery. It is defined as the chaise longue par excellence, a perfect mix of geometry, body, purity and elegance, in fact it furnishes in a refined, optimal and characterizing way every area or zone of relaxation and leisure of the house. -
