Louis XVI style painted and giltwood marquis armchair C 1950. Called marquis because of a wide seat and a flared low back, this comfortable, wooden frame chair has a foliate carved crest flanked by carved finials, flowing into arms with fluted supports, all resting on cylindrical tapering legs with fluted accents. Recent upholstery with new fabric.
