Pair of Maija Ruoslahti brass and leather stools

A pair of very rare stools from the Helsinki City Theatre by Maija Ruoslahti. The stools are made of solid brass and steel with a black leather seating.
The theatre was designed by Timo Penttilä and opened in 1967. Ruoslahti was responsible for the interior design. These stools were used in the ladies' room of the building.
Maija Ruoslahti (1939) is a Finnish interior architect, designer and visual artist. After graduating as an architect, she started working for the office of Heikki Siren and later Timo Penttilä. She is best known for her Euroform furniture line. -
