Pair of Maison Jansen Louis XV neoclassical slipper chairs 1940s
-
Description
The craftsmanship of this pair of slipper chairs was deeply cared about, and it really shows some eight decades later. The side chairs were made and stamped by Maison Jansen in the early 1940s in their pure Neoclassical Louis XV inspired style. The beautiful painted oak wood structure has developed a stunning beige patina over time. They have been fully reupholstered with a beautiful dusty lilac mohair velvet from Zimmer + Rohde. Each chair stamped JANSEN. Two other armchairs from the same set are also available.
