President John F. and First Lady Jacqueline Kennedy’s White House Bedroom Chairs
-
Description
The Louis XVI Style chairs, painted in Cream and Robin's Egg Blue and covered in their original upholstery.
First used by the Kennedys at their Georgetown house (at least 1 photo shows Jackie seated in one at her desk). Possibly acquired trough their decorator Sister Parish.
Original photos from the JFK Library show the chairs to have been placed in 2 areas of the Kennedy's White House bedroom.
The chairs were then kept by Mrs. Kennedy for her personal use and then sold to the current owner in 1996.
