A Rare and Important Italian Mid-Century Modern Triennale Sofa / Divan/ Couch by Marco Zanuso for Arflex, Italy, circa 1951. The piece is in it's original Ultra-marine faux leather / vinyl upholstery and Features a rare, subtle, curved form and recessed cushions. The slightly curved form sets it apart from other Zanuso Triennale sofa's and offers an extremely appealing, sensuous aesthetic. The 3 cushions are also recessed 2 inches allowing the curved line and form of the sofa to be observed and appreciated. The piece has the other typical Zanuso elements of a steel frame, support strapping underneath and sharply angled, brass legs. The curved model is rare in it's form and it's aesthetic beauty is superior, achieving the top level of elegance and modernity. Dimensions: H 34 x 74.5 x 29.
