Description
This brilliantly designed Set of Four Mid-Century Modernist Leather Dining Chairs by Mario Bellini for Cassina originates from Italy circa 1970. They feature a highly thoughtful design and innovative use of materials. Reflecting the nature of the skeleton, these chairs are supported by a steel frame, upon which 22 individual cowhide pieces are sewn together to form a single cover. This cover then zips onto the frame like a custom garment, concealing the frame and creating an elegant arm chair with excellent stability. Bellini is internationally renown for his architectural career, pioneering massive projects all over the world, and for his beloved work on the design stage. A truly stunning set, these dining chairs will style beautifully in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. They each have the original Cassina sticker beneath each seat. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
