McGuire Rattan Organic Modern Cathedral Dining Chairs, Set of 12 Assembled

Offered for sale is a set of twelve McGuire Furniture San Francisco organic modern "Cathedral" dining chairs which include an assembled set of two armchairs and eight side chairs. This iconic and distinctive set of chairs made in the California coastal chic style were designed by John McGuire. The "cathedral" style features a gothic arch style back and an open fretwork design reminiscent of the Chinese Chippendale style. The frames are strong and sturdy with excellent joinery and craftsmanship The chairs are in good condition with loose vintage seat cushions. The chairs are a from 2 groups but match nicely. Please see the photograph of one armchair from one group and one side chair from the other that were photographed together in the same light. The only differences are the loose cushions that accompany them. The cushions have vintage fabric that we suggest you reupholster in a fabric of your choice. The chairs all have the McGuire brass tags underneath the seats but the side chairs appear to be a bit earlier than the other four chairs with the print upholstered cushions. The rattan frames are wrapped at the joints with rawhide. These chairs are estate fresh to the market from the estate of a prominent Doctor's home in Bal Harbor, FL.
