Mid-Century Modern Z Sofa by Bengt Ruda for Nordiska Kompaniet, 1960's
Mid-Century 'Z' sofa from the Triva-series for Nordiska Kompaniet by Swedish artist and designer Bengt Ruda. Newly upholstered in a luxurious, nubby, tan boucle fabric while the legs have been newly polished and refinished. This sofa still maintains it's original manufacturer label on it's underside.

Bengt Ruda (1918-1999) was a Swedish architect and furniture designer. He worked for Nordiska Kompaniet (NK) during the early 1950s.
Other Scandinavian designers of the period include Finn Juhl, Kaare Klint, Borge Mogensen, Poul Kjærholm, Hans Wegner, Arne Vodder, Verner Panton, Kai Kristiansen, Arne Jacobsen.
