This pair of stools could be described with the often used terms of “brutalist” or “wabi sabi”. What connects both terms is the focus on the material’s natural qualities. The appreciation of rustic simplicity and craftsmanship has never completely gone out of style, but in recent years, it saw an increase.

Each stool has a traditional, rustic look that is often described with the above expressions. With a highly functional history and modernist look, these stools are timelessly stylish pieces. The seats have a sizeable round shape to accommodate the sitter, which are supported by three legs that are splayed and widen towards the end. The carvings on the legs provide just enough aesthetic detail to distinguish them from similar tripod models. The round tops and sleek legs also complement the visually arresting pattern of the wood, especially on the seat, where the grain immediately stands out. In line with the simplicity and functionality of the mid-century era, this pair entirely focuses on its solid wood material and well-crafted, but simple lines. Each one was evidently constructed with great care; the lines flow effortlessly, and the surfaces are very smooth even on the legs.
