This elegant and iconic Art Deco "D" chair was realized by the esteemed maker Modernage Co. in the United States, circa 1930. Resembling a stylized letter "D", it features streamlined arms; a volumetric rectangular legs; and a geometric rectangular back with a support slat down the center- all in lustrous black lacquer. The chair has been newly reupholstered in a tan cotton blend fabric with a subtle rectilinear weave. With its iconically Art Deco form, this piece is sure to delight enthusiasts of first rate design from this period. Its sophisticated palate and clean modernist lines make this chair as versatile as it is aesthetically compelling, blending perfectly with any style of interior from Classic Deco to contemporary.
