An American Centennial pair of leather seated knuckle-armchairs of dense, heavy, honey colored mahogany; with pierced vasiform splats, marlborough legs, and four stretchers. Originally for office usage. Suitable as library or hall chairs, or perhaps even for dining. Provenance: a collection of West Point memorabilia.

Five decades of antiques collecting experience in a succession of Historic Register homes in Virginia, New York, and Connecticut; and a 1901 beaux arts building on Manhattan’s Upper East Side. Open Thursday through Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and on Tuesday and Wednesday by appointment.
