Pair of Early 19th Century West Country Windsor Armchairs

Characterful pair of early 19th Century English West Country stick back Windsor armchairs.
Featuring egg and reel-turned front legs with plain tapered back, all united by a turned H-stretcher. The shaped elm seat supports an ash and elm superstructure with crook arm supports and a simple hand-drawn stick and hoop back.
Both are solid and stable.
Circa 1820-30. -
