A pair of French Louis XVI style painted wood wingback bergères chairs from the 19th century, with carved décor and new upholstery. Created in France during the 19th century, each of this pair of bergères features a winged back, designed to provide privacy and comfort to the sitter, adorned with beads and waterleaves. The arms are scrolled on the knuckles and present acanthus leaf motifs. Comprising a custom-made cushion, each bergère is upholstered with a double welt cotton fabric, while the entire structure is painted in a soft color. The chairs are raised on fluted legs, highlighted with carved rosettes on the front knees.
