Pair of handcrafted, Italian armchairs of the 1950s in beech and grey alpaca
-
Description
Pair of Italian-made armchairs from the 1950s.
The armchairs were made of natural beech: a wood used since the 1950s, under the direct influence of Scandinavian design and in contrast with classic, heavier Italian essences, such as walnut and oak. The result had to be a light, easy-to-handle seat with a more contemporary allure.
The untreated wood has undergone an aging process which has resulted in an intense color almost tending towards red tones. There are no significant imperfections to report. For the upholstery we used Dedar's alpaca velvet: we contrasted a slender and light structure with a full-bodied fabric with a soft and warm touch. -
