Laredo Gold Leaf Chair, 3-Legged Contemporary Design w/Traditional Joinery

Description
First made by the designer in Laredo, Texas studio in 1994, this 3-legged gold leaf chair is now made to order in Guadalajara, Mexico as signed editions. Influences from Mexico and Pedro Friedeburg are evident in this unique accent chair which happens to be quite comfortable and highly resistant.
The frame is made from Rosa Morada hardwood, the leafing reveals a traditional red oxide lacquer below which gives the metal a subtle glow.
This chair is available in gold and silver leaf versions. Please contact us directly to specify the option you would like to purchase.

Bio:
Peter Glassford was born in Texas where he graduated with a degree in Sculpture from the University of Texas at Austin. Currently, he lives in Guadalajara, Mexico with his wife Isabel Moncada, a lighting designer. Together, they founded Glassford Moncada a multidisciplinary studio producing artwork, lighting, furniture as well as jewelry. -
