Description
Stunning “Butterfly” lounge chair model F675 designed by Pierre Paulin and manufactured by Artifort, The Netherlands 1963. This chair has a nickel-plated geometric frame that is visually striking. The minimalistic frame against the rich and thick cognac leather seat creates a truly unique and eye-catching contrast. Made with great attention to detail, the leather is wrapped and stitched around the sides of the frames. The sling seat and back are designed to hang freely maximizing comfort. An iconic feature of this chair is the x-base frame which is not only visually pleasing but also lightweight. This first production chair was nicely used and has a beautiful patina because of that. The leather is still very strong and firm and shows no cracks or tears. Complete with all four black protection gliders. Very hard to find early example “Butterfly chair in fantastic original condition. An incredible catch for any modern home, office or interior.
