Two Lounge Chairs, Model 'Ben', by Pierre Paulin for Artifort, Netherlands 1991
-
Description
These are two Artifort classic lounge chairs designed by the French designer Pierre Paulin. This model is called 'Ben' and is typical of the designs of the darling of the Dutch furniture manufacturer. It actually has no hard corners or lines and the seat continues into the armrest and the armrest continues to the backrest. The backrest flows again to the rear legs and so on. This doesn't only create an impressive dynamic, but also fabulous seating comfort. Aluminum strips are attached under the legs and are, as it were, folded around them. One of the chairs still has the original Artifort sticker on the legs. The chairs have recently been completely reupholstered in a white bouclé and are in excellent condition. We want to conclude a final remark by mentioning that these modern classics are a playful addition to any interior.
