Actual German stool / bench from the Bauhaus Building in Berlin. See photos below from Bauhaus in Berlin under the Directorship of Mies van der Rohe.
A similar stool is also used in the Fritz Lang's 1933 German Classic Film, The Testament of Dr. Mabuse. This film was suppressed by the Nazi's for fear it would inspire social disorder and anarchy.
