Rare Mannequin Head
-
Description
A wooden mannequin head, probably a toupe stand, with good color and a well-carved idiosyncratic and compelling face, having laconic eyes and with what might be chewing tobacco in his upper right lip. Roman numerals XI stamped above the bridge of his nose, this being the eleventh of a series of toupe stands for a very vain owner. German 1930s.
