Set of Six Brutalist Oak Dining Chairs, France 1960s
-
Description
This robust set of six dining room chairs radiate tranquility and elegance through their relatively simple frames and combination of wood and upholstery. In addition, the chairs have acquired a pleasant warm patina due to their age.
Design
The frame is straight forward and has a nice appearance due to its proportions. The oakwood is powerful and deeply colored, and what is particularly striking is how the flame drawing forms a decoration on the wood. Deep brown and blonde color shades alternate and accentuate the drawings. Both the legs and the front and back rails protrude just a little further so that the wood connections can disappear nicely into each other, creating more contrast and body. The backrest is made up of four layers and has a concave part in the middle, which increases comfort. Comfortable seats are covered with a sturdy fabric and completely cleaned.
Condition
The condition of this set is very good with normal age-related signs of wear. Part of this are superficial scratches, color differences. -
