-
Description
A set of six Swedish Rococo style wooden dining room side chairs from the late 19th century, with carved splats, cabriole legs, pad feet, cross stretchers and upholstered seats. Created in Sweden during the last decade of the 19th century, each of this set of six Rococo style side chairs features a curving pierced back with carved splat flowing seamlessly into the hind saber legs. A rectangular upholstered seat with removable cushion making it easier to reupholster the piece, is resting above a simple apron with bow front design. The chairs are all raised on cabriole legs in the front mounted on pad feet. A cross stretcher with turned motifs on the sides and curving accents in the front strengthens the ensemble. With their graceful and sinuous Rococo lines and warm patina, this pair of Swedish side chairs circa 1890 will make for a great addition to any dining room or breakfast area! The upholstered cushions are used and ready to receive a new fabric.
