Multi-talented Italian architect Silvio Coppola (1920-1985) produced furniture designs for many of the leading Italian mid-century firms. His Palma d'Oro however - was for his advertising campaign. This set of solid walnut dining chairs has a bit of playfulness in design with narrow legs in offsetting positions between the front and back. The backrest is a cognac saddle leather slotted into the legs and curved for comfort. Padded seats are in cognac skai. Produced in the 1960s as Model 330 for Bernini in Ceriano Laghetto just north of Milan in Italy. Set of four. Seat height is 18.5"
