A Swedish Empire style painted wooden Curule stool from the mid-19th century, with spindle arms, X-form base and new upholstery. Created in Sweden during the first half of the 19th century, this stool features a rectangular seat newly recovered with a neutral colored double welt upholstery, flanked with out-scrolling arms decorated with spindle supports. The ensemble is resting on an X-form base adorned with a carved rosette on each side. Painted in a soft color, this Empire style stool circa 1830 will make for an elegant addition to any home, whether placed in a living room, bedroom or hallway.
