    Rare and Historic , Important set of four Scottish Mid Nineteenth Century Carved Oak Armorial Hall Stools with armorials for Campbell , Earl Of Breadalbane and Holland , and acanthus scrolls , raised on lotus carved reeded tapered legs .



    With Typical Scottish Strength of Balance These Four Stools Would Have Adorned the Great Hall and Passages of the Castle Since Their Inception .





    Taymouth Castle near Kenmore, Perth and Kinross was built during the early19th century and stands on the site of Balloch Castle , built in 1552 . Encompassing 450 acres , the land and castle were the property of the Campbells of Breadblane until 1922. When they built Taymouth , no expense was spared and the interiors were beddecked in the finest Gothic style carvings, plasterwork and murals .
