Absolutely gorgeous bentwood seating set by Thonet Austria, designed by none other than famous Austrian architect Josef Hoffmann, wellknown from the world renowed Wiener Werkstaette. Extraordinary shaped of fine bentwood (=beech was bent under steam and high pressure) around 1910, the bench and the two armchairs carry the unique handwriting of Josef Hoffmann - a very own design that has made his creations famous and wanted all over the globe. All pieces were newly upholstered in finest Backhausen art Nouveau fabric. An exceptional Art Nouveau seating set by Thonet, showing best how timeless bentwood furniture became over the past 115 years. The Art Nouveau Thonet table shown on pictures #1 & 12 (also a design from J. Hoffmann) is not part of this offered seating set but can be purchased with it for a special set deal.
