Traditional Victorian Balloon Back Side Chair, English, Circa 1850

  • Description
    Fine quality traditional form solid mahogany Victorian balloon back chair with "slip in" seat, upholstered in black and maroon pin-striped fabric (see images). Nicely carved double curved back top and mid section rails, with curved sides; supported by two front cabriole legs, ending in carved scroll feet. Made in England, circa 1850.

    Chair is in excellent and all original condition in nice color and patina to the original surface; sturdy with no repairs. The re-upholstered seat is basically excellent and unworn.
